Meditation Script #1 Compassion

By Betty Bassett “We can quiet the mind and listen to whispers of the heart. Feel your heart expand with taking a breath in and softening with breathing out. There is a place inside you with compassion. With every breath you take, that part of you grows. Our day is often focused on thinking and being rational so let that fall away for a minute. Keep compassion at your center. Your heart has its reasons that it doesn’t know of. Let your mind settle and set your reasoning aside.   Feel the weight of your hand. Bring stillness and serenity to the mind. Become aware of your toes, feet, ankles, lower legs, upper legs, your pelvis, abdomen, chest, and your back. Become aware of your shoulders, arms, neck, the jaw, face, forehead. Notice your entire body. Allow yourself to feel relaxed and at ease. Observe your breath in and your breath out. Be aware as you inhale...as you exhale… As your mind starts to wander off, gently bring it back to the breath. Notice...

Meditation #2 Patience

By Betty Bassett "Feel lightness and length of the spine.  Give yourself a moment to just settle and be comfortable. Give yourself permission to be right here, right now. Be present in this moment just as you are. Sometimes life moves at a fast pace.  Some we disappoint ourselves or circumstances disappoint us.  We might feel frustrated or annoyed.  Look for patience.  Release the frustration.  Experience being in the present moment and release the feeling.  Find the patience that is within you. Bring your awareness to your skin.  Notice the feel of the air.  How does it feel as it makes contact with your skin?  Bring stillness to your body.  Let go of anything aggressive and just relaxation. Begin with the feet. Bring awareness to the soles of your feet and then to the tops of your feet. Begin to relax. Allow your  ankles to soften.  Feel your lower legs and then your upper legs becoming heavy. Let your belly ...
